ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. Circa 170-150 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13 mm, 1.32 g, 12 h), 'Plinthophoric' coinage, Dexikrates, magistrate. Radiate head of Helios facing slightly to right. Rev. ΔΕΞΙΚΡΑΤΗΣ / P - O Rose with bud to right; to left, winged kerykeion; to right, T; all within incuse square. HGC 6, 1462. Jenkins, Rhodian, Group B, 37. SNG Keckman 642. Nicely toned and struck in high relief. Very minor porosity and with faint scratches on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
